William E. “Bill” Mayer, 91, of New Albany, Indiana passed away Thursday at Providence Retirement Home. He was a retired accountant for the old Durkee Famous Foods. Bill was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and an Army veteran of WWII.

Edith “Dorothy” Clark, 73, of Henryville, Indiana passed away Thursday at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born in Charlestown, Indiana to the late Chester and Ila (Baker) Townsend. She was a member of Northside Christian Church in New Albany. She taught special education students at S. Ellen Jones Elementary School for over 24 years and worked at Walmart in her later years. She was a member of the IOOF Rebekhas. She filled her days spending time with her grandchildren and working in her garden.

HAROLD D. PAYTON, SR., 76, passed away Wednesday July 29, 2015. He was born in Garrison, KY. and was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was a Control Supervisor for Public Service Indiana for over 36 years. He was a member of the Redman Club, the American Legion and Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife: Carol Payton, his parents: George and Anna Payton, 4 brothers: Russell, Bill, Charlie and Doug Payton, and 2 Sisters: Juanita Renn and his twin Carol Pruitt.

DONALD L. SCHREIBER, 87, passed away Sunday at the Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany.
He was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was a manager for the Kentucky Ford Truck Plant for over 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post and was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels Program. He was preceded in death by his wife: Andrea “Joni” Schreiber, his parents: Vaughn and Kate Schreiber, and 3 brothers: William, Bernard and George Schreiber.
