ROBERT L. HABERMEL, 69, passed away Wednesday November 25, 2015 at Floyd Memorial Hospital. He was born in New Albany and was in the Army Reserves. He was a retired Sales Representative from All American Appliance and became a “Handy Man” known as Mr. Meticulous. He was an active member of the American Legion Post #28 and the 40 & 8th Voiture. He loved old car shows, camping, wood-working and collecting knives and old miniature cars. He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Irene Habermel and a nephew: Kevin Nolot.

JOSEPH CHESTER (CHET) PITT, JR., age 94, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Villages of Historic Silvercrest. He was a native of New Albany, IN. and retired after 40 years as an accountant for the old L. & N. Railroad Company. He attended Ball State University and Indiana University. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Culbertson Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife – Marietta J. (Sieg) Pitt

Dorothy L. (Jones) Traughber, 83, of New Albany, Indiana passed away Friday at the Villas of Sivercrest in New Albany. She was born in Cape Sand, Indiana to the late William A. and Minnie (Cox) Jones. She was a longtime member of St. John Presbyterian Church in New Albany where she served as an Elder. Mrs. Traughber was retired from General Electric in Louisville after 39 years of service.
