Julia B. Young, 98, of New Albany, Indiana passed away Tuesday at her home. She was born Julia Richardson to the late Everett and Minnie Richardson. A native of Tennessee Ridge, Tennessee. She was retired from American Printing House for the Blind. She loved gardening and being in the outdoors. She was the former member of Colgate Baptist Church.

She was the former Katherine Schwender, born in New Albany and was a lifetime member of St. Mark’s United Church of Christ. She loved playing cards and was an avid bridge player. Shirley Marie (Payton) Bennett, 81, passed away Friday morning at her residence in New Albany. She was born in Salem, IN to the late Amos and Estelle (Warren) Payton. She was a member of Parkway Southern Baptist Church in New Albany and was retired from Pillsbury in New Albany.

DENZIL A. CURTS, age 94, passed away Thursday at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany, Indiana. He was a longtime resident of Marengo, Indiana and currently resided at Gueirn Woods, Georgetown, Indiana.
He was a retired production worker for E.I. Dupont Nemours, Louisville, Kentucky. He was a member of the Marengo Christian Church. He was a member of the Marengo Masonic Lodge #475 and the American Legion. He was a Coast Guard Veteran of World War II.
He is survived by a brother – James D. Curts – Louisville, KY.
