MARY M. STROUD, 89, passed away Thursday March 30, 2017 at the Green Valley Care Center. She was the former Mary Stiff and was born in Breckenridge County, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband: David W. Stroud and her brother: John “Jay” Stiff.

Survivors include:

Mary L. (Durbin) Carver, 75, of New Albany passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday March 29, 2017, at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born in Brandenburg, Kentucky to the late Robert Durbin and Mittie Perguson. She was a current and longtime employee of Packaging Unlimited in Louisville.
Survivors include her son David Carver; Sister Loretta Hammond; 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1-8 PM Friday at the Market St. Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes (1119 E. Market St. New Albany, IN)

 Virginia “Jenny” Ritchie, 95, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2017 in Borden, Indiana.  She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 30, 1921 to Rev. Isidore S. Pineur and Mrs. Virgie Herndon Pineur.  She grew up in Kentucky and lived most of her adult life in New Albany, Indiana, where she taught kindergarten for several years.  She was a 1943 graduate of the University of Kentucky with Summa Cum Laude Honors, a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and DePauw Memorial United Methodist Church.

David E. Goerlitz, 56, formerly of New Albany passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Indiana. He was a resident of Birdseye, Indiana and was a native of Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Goerlitz was a veteran of the US Army having served from 1979 through 1986. He worked in the insurance business formerly as an agent and most recently in group enrollment.

Survivors include his son Michael Goerlitz; his father Ed Goerlitz; sister Amy Deal and grandchildren Jonah, Noah and Lyla.
