LILLIAN FAY TAYLOR, 96, passed away Friday June 23, 2017 at the Providence Retirement Home. She was an avid euchre and bunco player, a volunteer for the Center for Lay Ministries Pantry and she was a member of the Charlestown Road Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her first husband: Lawrence Very, her second husband: Benson Taylor and her great grandson: Spencer Martin.

Fay’s life centered around her family which included:

2 Sons: Lawrence “Tex” Very and his wife Bunky,
and Jerry Very and his wife Wanda,

her daughter: Sheila Winders and her husband Keith,

7 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.

A funeral service celebrating Fay’s life will be held at 11 AM Monday June 26, 2017 at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville(1119 E. Market St.) with burial in SCI-Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 – 6 PM Sunday and from 10 – 11 AM Monday before the service.
Memorial Contributions may go to the Charlestown Road Church of Christ or Hosparus of Southern Indiana.

    Tex, Jerry and family,

    I was unable to come to the visitation but want you to know my thoughts are with you at this time. It is never easy to lose a parent, no matter what age. May precious memories sustain you at this time.

    I was so sorry to hear about Mrs. Taylor. My deepest condolences to her family. Fay has left behind many precious memories that will be treasured forever. As time passes, may those treasured memories be a pleasant and enduring reminder of good times shared as they fill your heart with love, comfort and joy.
