Phillip R. Bruner, 87, died Saturday afternoon at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany.

He was born in New Albany to the late Ray and Ruth (Walker) Bruner. He was a Marine Corp. veteran of W.W. II and was a member of the Teamsters Union. Mr. Bruner retired from Smith Transfer Company and later worked as a ranger at Quail Chase Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.

He is survived by his wife Amelia “Joan” (Atkins) Bruner; his son Greg Bruner and his daughter Beth Bruner.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 12 – 2 PM Wednesday at the Market St. Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes (1119 E. Market St., New Albany, IN) with private burial to follow in SCI-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
